Sea Seasonings Dulse Granules bring new life to old recipes and are convenient to use. Sprinkle on eggs, make dulse butter, or add to soups, salads, and smoothies. Sea Seasonings impart umami, the savory and mysterious fifth taste, to any dish. Sea veggies are rich in umami as they naturally contain glutamic acid, used by almost every lifeform to synthesize protein. Dulse Granules are mineral rich but low in sodium; just 28mg per serving. One serving is also an excellent source of iodine (189% RDI), essential for thyroid function, and a good source of iron (17% RDI), needed to transport oxygen in the blood. Our dulse granules are harvested from wild dulse beds in the North Atlantic and dried at mild temperatures to retain enzymes and nutrition. They contain no additives, and every step from harvest to milling is Certified Organic.
