My dogs usually dread being brushed because typical dog brushes have stiff, metal bristles that aren't pleasant at all. This is a gentle brush and the bristles are great regardless of the texture of the dog hair. We went from brushing their hair every other week to increasing the frequency to brushing daily, and my dogs waggle their tail every time.

This brush works really for long haired cats and dogs. The bristles are soft and pliable. (not actual bristles but the soft kind with the little ball at the end) No scratching sensitive skin. Very easy to clean.
