Excellent!Elderberries are fantastic for the immune system. I buy these to make my own syrup. Here is a great homemade recipe. 2/3c. dried elderberries, 3 & 1/2c. of water, ( I use distilled ) 2 tbsp. fresh or dried ginger root, 1/2 tsp. whole cloves or clove powder, 1c. raw honey. Place water, elderberries, ginger, cinnamon & cloves in saucepan. (DO NOT ADD HONEY yet, the heat will destroy many of its medicinal benefits). Bring to a boil then cover and reduce to a simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour until the liquid has reduced by half. At that point remove from heat and let cool enough to be handled. Pour through a strainer into a glass bowl. Let the liquid cool to lukewarm then add honey and stir well. When honey is well mixed, pour the syrup into a glass jar or bottle and put in fridge. This should last several months. Enjoy!!!
Frontier Co-Op's Elderberries come well-packaged and labelled with information on the place of origin, expiration date, and Latin name. The berries are a high quality, with a fresh scent and potent taste. I use 1/4 cup at a time, and I've lost count of the number of infusions I've been able to make with just one bag.
I am a repeat buyer of Frontier Co-op elderberries, I make elderberry syrup in the winter for my family. These berries are very fragrant, plump and taste delicious which are signs of the best quality! It can be disappointing to open a package of herbs and find it does not meet your needs. A great ingredient to keep your immune system healthy.
During Covid when I couldn't get any elderberry syrup (because everyone else just discovered it!), I started making my own. I became the neighborhood elderberry-fairy. :) These are great and last a long time too. Plus, it's much more economical than buying premade syrup. I would make a bunch, and freeze in ice cube containers so I could thaw one or two at a time as needed.
I ordered this elderberries after watching multiple videos about its effects on the body. Still in the trial process. It’s supposed to support the immune system and frankly this is much needed in these times. It tastes good.. a bit sweet so no need to add sweetener. Be mindful of the source as not all sources are trusted.
This is such a treasure for direct medicinal source of elderberry. For those who have never tasted real elderberry tea, enjoy this simplicity from a teaspoon in tea ball or diffuser. I swear by this product for health and keep berries in freezer to maintain freshness. Once brewed, can use as iced tea too. Great gentle sweetness.
I love everything by this brand. This elderberry is very good quality and the size of the package lasts for a long time. You only need a teaspoon for a cup of tea after all. The benefits of elderberry in strengthening the immune system make this an absolute must have during the flu season. Very clean ingredients and a boiled but sweet flavor that is actually tasty in addition to being beneficial to the improvement of one's health.
I love these dried elderberries! I have been using these for years to make my own elderberry syrup. The quality is great, the ingredients are only the berries, the packaging is great, and the health benefits of these berries is second to none! They make a great supplement to your diet and taste great with honey!
