Excellent! Easy to grow homemade!I decided to try growing my own after so many times wasting store bought bean sprouts as most of them get slimy in the bag quickly and get recalled every once in a while for salmonella. Super easy to grow. I use 1/4 cup, soak in 1 cup water over night, start keeping them in dark next day after draining, rinse with slightly warm water twice a day, drain, let them sleep in the dark. After 3-4 days, sunbathe them for a couple of hours, wash them and get rid of green empty shells floating on the top. Fresh nutritious sprouts every few days. Love it!
I am in love with Real Food's Mung Beans! They are so versatile and nutritious, and the 16 oz bag lasts a long time. I use them in soups, curries, and salads, and they add a wonderful texture and flavor. They're also rich in protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals, so I feel good about incorporating them into my diet. I appreciate that they're non-GMO and free from any additives or preservatives. Overall, I highly recommend Real Food's Mung Beans to anyone looking for a healthy, delicious, and easy-to-use ingredient in their cooking!
These beans are of great quality and have been a fantastic addition to my diet as a vegetarian. I love that these mung beans can be used for sprouting as well as for cooking. They sprout easily and have a delicious nutty flavor. I've been using them in salads and as a topping for toast and they add a great crunch and nutrition boost. What sets these mung beans apart from other beans is their high nutritional value. They are packed with protein, fiber, and other important nutrients that are essential for a healthy diet. As a vegetarian, it can be challenging to get enough protein in my diet, but these beans have made it much easier. I appreciate that NOW Foods is a brand that I can trust. They are committed to providing high-quality, minimally processed, and non-GMO foods that are good for both my body and the environment.
These beans sprouted in a few days and provided me with a delicious addition to my stir fry. This was my first time sprouting beans and it went smoothly. I just used a jar with cheese cloth on it. I really think 99.9 percent of the seeds sprouted. No rocks or filler in here. As soon as my sprouts were ready, I immediately made another batch and can't wait to eat them in a few days! There are a ton here, too for the price. I also love that they are not GMO and seem very healthy. Big package for the price. A great addition to pad thai and a good thing to add to one's diet.
This product worked great in a recipe I had for vegan eggs! I soaked the beans overnight, drained them and then incorporated them into the recipe with other ingredients to make the eggs. The mung beans are a great source of protein! The package arrived in record time and I was very pleased with this purchase. I will definitely order again!
Five days of sporting using the Whole Foods sprouting jar and I got healthy long mung bean sprouts I used in a Korean recipe. This was so easy to do and it's a great reward for the minimal required effort of watering twice a day. I would say about 1 in 5 or so did not sprout and that's my only criticism.
I'm happy with how well these are sprouting. I rarely find any seeds that didn't sprout, just one or two. I took off a star because they are not organic. I've noticed that none of the now sprouting products are organic. I'm glad they offer them, but suggest they go for organic. I'm in the process of finding an organic supplier that I can order from.
